The Nambour Chamber of Commerce is the peak forum for businesses in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland region & is the
only full-time business organisation representing the business community of Nambour & district.
We have a local reputation for lobbying effectively for what is needed to enhance Nambour & build a better business environment for businesses to thrive in this region. We have

Objectives of the Nambour Chamber of Commerce:
- To represent professional, retail, service, industrial & primary interests in Nambour & District
- To promote Nambour as the commercial ‘Hub of the Hinterland'
- To provide a venue for the members to meet & exchange matters of common interest & connect the local business community
- To create a spirit of community interest & to support community groups
- To originate, promote or oppose Commonwealth, State or Local Government measures directly or indirectly affecting the objectives of the Chamber, & the interests of trade, commerce & industry in Nambour.
The aim of Nambour District Chamber of Commerce is to:
- Provide a forum for discussion for members
- Discuss & deal with any subject affecting the interests of business Nambour & the surrounding district
- Watch over & protect the general interests of commerce & civil rights
- Assist in the development of local industries
- Help formulate policy on any matter pertaining to business in Nambour & the surrounding district
- Collect & disseminate information on all matters of interest to businesses, the community & visitors
- To liaise with other Chambers of Commerce, business & community organisations as appropriate
- To organise forms of entertainment from time to time that add to the pleasure of Nambour residents & visitors
- Assist in the development of trade & commerce in Nambour & surrounding district
- To promote & guide projects for the benefit of Nambour & district
The Nambour District Chamber of Commerce meets once a month - generally on the second Monday evening of the month (except for public holidays). These are usually dinner meetings held
at various venues around the district, such as Best Western Red Bridge Motor Inn, Windsor Hill Cafe at Nambour TAFE College, The Commercial Hotel & The Woombye Pub. The Nambour RSL
Club & Nambour Civic Centre are used for meeting seminars. Workshops & breakfast briefings have ALSO been popular, held in cafes in the Nambour CBD.
Our meetings provide an opportunity for members to network with owners & staff from other local businesses, as well as meet & speak directly with local councillors from Sunshine Coast Regional
Council, along with the Mayor & State & Federal MP’s when their schedules allow. These meetings also provide a forum for members to be kept informed & discuss local issues & events.
There is usually an interesting, informative, educational or entertaining guest speaker at each of these meetings speaking on topics relevant to local business in Nambour. We send out regular
